Danny Gokey Lives!!

After last night, I am more confident than ever that Danny Gokey has the voice to go all the way, Great voice for the Motown tunes!. Wonder how he would do singing a more "rock" based song. Gotta imagine that will be an upcoming theme on the next American Idol.

Last Night with AMerican Idol

Do you all think Danny Gokey is still the favorite? I do. He just needs to learn how to dance!! Seriously, though, the jusges seem to like him, and the other blogs and such seem to be supporting him. Does anyone know what the next theme will be for Idol? Maybe hip-hop since Kanye will be on the show?

Danny Gokey - His Amazing Story

As many of you may know, Danny Gokey has a tragic backstory. In July 2008, his wife, Sophia underwent routine surgery for congenital heart disease. It was the third surgery she had but she died from complications. Sophia was a fan of the show and encouraged Gokey to be a contestant. He started a foundation in her name with some of her family members who are also musicians. The foundation includes a program to provide donated musical instruments to students. Faith Builders church adheres to prosperity theology and Gokey's foundation website also expresses these beliefs although potential beneficiaries are not required to adhere to any religious teachings or be a member of the church.

Danny Gokey is truly amazing, and should be the Season 8 American Idol winner!!!!!
